I was in Boise for a few days and wanted to do Lucky Peak from a different direction that I had mapped out a few years ago, so that I did it from 3 directions. When I got to the area I thought I could start at, the road was gated off with a no trespassing sign. I went further up to another spot I thought I could start at and it also was gated off with a sign. Since I was already in that area, I had also noticed there were a few trails on the other side of the road further down and I decided to do one of those and see where they went. This ended up being the Orchard Gulch trail. The trail was fine and the hike is ok. It did end up at another road and I thought I could make another loop instead of going back down the same way. After walking down that road for about 30 minutes it ended up with a no trespassing sign. A truck had come up the road so they had gone through it, but since I have an over abundance of caution, and don't feel like getting arrested or more likely shot in that area, I turned around and went back the same way. One the way back I walked past the truck with the engine still on, and nobody anywhere around that I could see, so overall a really weird day and I don't plan on going anywhere near that area again since there is so much private land I guess.
