Arco Peak is right beside Arco, Id. It is 7,547 feet high. The Idaho Climbing Guide says, "The historic graffitied lower section of the peak is what people think about when Arco Peak is mentioned. The true summit, however, is 1,000 vertical feet higher to the north".
This peak reminded a lot of the peaks around Boise with trails that go right up the mountain without switchbacks. It has some steep sections but wasn't too bad. The trail actually goes on further along the ridge than to the top of Arco but I decided to not go any further and go the the Natural Arch instead that day while in the Arco area.
