I was in Boise for a few days and decided to do a few hikes I had on my list. This was on of them. Basically this loop goes around the Bogus Basin ski area (I guess) with a side trip to Mores mountain. Interesting that the butte (Shafer) is higher than the mountain (Mores) right next to it. The hike actually ended up being a few miles longer than I thought but not bad. There are lots of trails out there and the area is pretty nice, much better than the lifeless foothills around Boise anyway. Shafer is 7,582 feet high and Mores is 7,236.
