I decided to get out of the Boise hills and go somewhere different while my brother was around for a few weeks. While I had already been to Pioneer Cabin, I had not been there from the Hyndman trailhead and decided to give tha a shot. It was a terrific hike and was really nice to get to hike in a forest area with trees and everything, the area around Boise doesn't have much (at least the places I have visited). There was still some snow right at the cabin but pretty clear everywhere else along the trail, and the view of the Pioneer mountains were amazing, the last time there were clouds covering them. The next hike to Pioneer Cabin will be from the Johnstone Creek trailhead.
