My wife and I hiked up Cervidae on Saturday and spent the day in Boise. The trail was about the same as Heinen with some steep sections and no switchbacks. It was sunny and in the afternoon was actually getting hot, so we were glad to have started early. Cervidae Peak is one of the 4 'Grand Slam Peaks', the others being Shaw (Lucky), Heinen, and Kepros. It's the shortest of the 4 coming in at just over 4.6 miles. It is 4987 feet high. It was a nice way to spend a Saturday morning before spending money in Boise. I went up again without the wife after work one day. It was certainly faster but hotter as well.
