3rd Fork Rock Creek is more of a mountain biking trail than a hiking trail, but I walked it anyway. It's just north of the Pike Mountain/Elk Butte hike I did earlier this year. Scenery was ok, a little more exciting than Indian Springs but not quite as nice as Pike, kind of a transition between the two. I did see a buck though which I don't see very often, so that alone made the trip worth it. Hopefully he made it out of the hunting season alive and his head isn't mounted on someone's wall.
